Samaipata is an ideal destination for those who have a cosy place to relax and dream outside enjoying the warmth of the people or go in search of adventure in the different natural attractions of their alrededores. Fundada in 1623, is considered to be Samaipata cultural centre archaeological and tourism of the Eastern valleys of the Andes.


Recent survey conducted by archaeologists from the University of Bonn, Germany, the area is configured as a province capital of the Incas, which in the thirteenth century the countries of eastern Bolivia.


The Inca Empire was centered in the Valley of Cusco and distributed in all directions (Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina), dissemination of their language, Quechua and their culture by the Empire.Samaipata is a Quechua Word for "rest on high."


Inca society is based on ayllú, tribal setting of religious, political and military, responsible for the organisation of productive activities and compulsive job for the community and the State. Ayllus tend to self-sufficiency, and all there is an extensive network of roads and bridges throughout the Empire, its use is not intended to trade, almost non-existent, but movement of troops and Royal officials. the most important cultural expressions of the Incas were astronomy, architecture and engineering in engineering Are most obvious examples are the fortress cities such as Machu Picchu and Sacsahuamán, bridges and aqueducts, the impressive Fortress Samaipata.


In spite of the political and military power, the Inca Empire, however, easily conquered by the Spaniards because of the civil war that broke out between the heirs of the Inca Huayna Capac, Huascar and Atahualpa.
